About the Event
The Kenmore Children’s Concert Series is a beloved and unique music event in Western New York. Held annually during the summer in the Village of Kenmore, it offers free concerts for families. This year, the series takes place every Tuesday at 6:15pm from July 9 to July 30, 2024. Held on the Kenmore Middle School lawn, the concerts attract a large crowd, with hundreds of attendees at each concert and thousands throughout the series. Families from the Ken-Ton area and beyond, including Lockport, Hamburg, and even Southern Ontario, come to enjoy the free shows.
Our goal with the concert series is to provide enjoyable and educational entertainment for families. We aim to engage children and adults through music, creating a passive learning experience. Each year, we curate a diverse lineup that showcases various musical styles and eras from around the world. This allows parents to introduce their children to a wide range of musical sounds while offering a fun, safe, and entertaining environment for everyone to enjoy.

This Year's Concert Lineup
July 9: Hot Club of Buffalo - Enjoy some gypsy jazz and world grooves! Whether you’re 9 or 109, The Hot Club of Buffalo makes everyone happy. Dancers love the rhythms. Audiences love the catchy melodies.
July 16: Emerald Isle Band - A mix of Celtic and nautical music featuring sing-alongs.
July 23: Special Delivery - Buffalo's most versatile Polish American band, playing everything from classic rock, blues, country, to just fun sing-along party tunes.
July 30: Erie County Wind Ensemble - Performing the best of the wind band literature at an exemplary level to a wide range of listening audiences.

Want to perform at the Concert series?
The musicians chosen to perform the Children’s concerts must provide the materials below to be considered to be included in the series; only those who have previous experience performing for children are considered. We strive to create a balanced series and consider this not just in what we plan annually for each series but what the series previous featured as well.
- List of where/who you've performed for in the past including three references; please only include performances for children.
- A description of the type of music you perform.
- The number of people and instruments in your group.
- The cost of a one hour performance.
