A statement of conduct from the members of KVIS.
As members of the Kenmore Village Improvement Society, we shall strive to improve our village by first treating one another with consideration and respect.
We shall strive to listen well - truly listen - to each other.
Even when we share differing points of view, we shall value each other's thoughts and opinions.
We shall be mindful of the fact that we, as humans, are capable of great deeds that can truly make the world a better place. This will lead us to positive action.
We shall be mindful that we are all different. This will lead us to a compassionate and humorous view of one another.
We shall be mindful that this Society is genuinely needed, and may create a way for people here and across the nation to become positively invested in their own communities. This will give us vision.
We shall be mindful of the precious and precarious position of our Village - a small place, independently held, carried forward through the care of those who choose to give it. This love, and this fear, will inspire us to persevere in success and failure, adversity and comfort.
